And what amazes me even more is that these fist time things, these first time experiences, happen all of the time. Like this past weekend for example, it seemed like Reese Roo was experiencing something new every time we turned around.
Now granted, some of them may not be amazements or experiences to an adult, but in the eyes of a child, most definitely.
Here are just a few of them:
# 1. Witnessing her first real thunderstorm
Yes, she has lived through them before, but for whatever reason this one fascinated her. Little Miss and Daddy sat on the balcony for quite some time (eating ice cream part of the time) just watching to and feeling the rain come down. Little Miss repeated stuck her hand through the rails and declared, "It's cold." She also would run inside everytime she heard a thunder boom. The only thing that would have made this better was if we were on our porch and she could have actually run in the rain.
# 2. First Milkshake
Daddy was traveling and I didn't feel like cooking so we headed to Smash Burger for dinner Sunday night. While we were eating (including my go to staples of yogurt and Dora snacks), several people ordered Milkshakes. The loud machine not only scared her a bit, but lead to several questions. Which ultimately lead to pregnant mommy caving and getting us a milkshake to share. Despite saying, "It not working" several times on the car ride home (i.e. the milkshake was too thick for her to suck up through the straw), the kid managed to drink up a large portion of her first shake.
# 3. Spa Service
Speaking of her love for yogurt, apparently it has alternative uses. Including as a full body mask. Who needs facials and parafin wraps when you have yogurt?
Goodness only knows what possessed her to do this.
# 4. Markers are the new make up
Again, it was a beauty filled weekend. Aside from her above skin treatment, apparently all of the cool kids are coloring their noses with their markers. True fashion statement I tell you. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, Moms and Dads are required to wear this trend as well.
