Welcome Home Wednesdays

Despite a decent amount of rain and severe weather the past few weeks, we haven't experienced too many delays on the outside project.  Maybe because they show up at 7 AM on the dot.  Saturday's included.  So much for sleeping int.  However, I guess I can't really complain as they have made some pretty significant progress...

...the outside of the room is almost entirely framed.

...and even more shockingly, the existing wall has been completely demoed and we have one very big room.  I don't think either the husband and I realized how big this room would be and whereby we certainly are not complaining, I do envision some design challenges and bickerings in our future.

Aside from this, they started to frame the fireplace and additional covered patio yesterday.  The contractor is also checking with the city so see if they can do two framing/electrical inspections -- one for the addition and one for the covered patio.  Fingers crossed that they can so that they can keep moving on the addition -- especially with the prospect of more rain in our upcoming forecast!
