New Bed

Thursday, April 21, 2016

It's been a busy week around here.

The husband has either been sick or traveling.  Work has picked up a bunch.  And the littles are as crazy and cute as ever.  Oh and we are hosting a majority of our families (note the purality) this weekend as Littlest is finally getting baptized.

So I apologize for the lack of posts. Especially for no Welcome Home Wednesday as progress continues to be made on the addition and outdoor living, as well as other rooms in the house.

One of those other rooms is Little Miss's room.  As I mentioned previously, I've been struggling with her room since any design must have red...and I think I finally have a way to incorporate the red and tone down the room a bit.  Sadly, we haven't gotten started on that part yet...but as mentioned the other day, we did purchase her a new full sized bed with all new bedding.

It was delivered Tuesday.  Without a box spring.  So she couldn't officially sleep in it until last night (try explaining that to a four year old).  But that didn't stop the girls from enjoying the bed and doing story time in it on night one.

Lots of lots of reading.  And giggles.  And cuddles.

And several failed sleepover attempts.
Seriously, I can't stand the cuteness.  Forget about the convenience of having another spot for guests to sleep.  This bed was totally worth it if it continues to make nightly memories that it has the past to nights.

Speaking of, thankfully the box spring was delivered last night and we survived night one in the bigger bed.

  2. Your girls look like they love the new bed! I can remember the day we finally got a "big bed" for our sons. They felt like they were truly adults because they had a grown up bed. Never mind the fact that they were only 6 years old. I hope your girls continue to enjoy the bed and that they make many memories together.
