The best part about the house thus far is that there continues to be weekly progress. The only sad thing about said progress is that although things will continue to get completed each week, the changes aren't going to be nearly as noticable as in weeks past.
But whatever that's water under the bridge.
The big improvements this past week were the shingles and what appeared to be additional plumbing. First, all of the bath tubs are now in place. Poor little miss just did not get the concept that they didn't work yet as she insisted on taking a bath in the bathtub in the master bathroom. But more importantly than the bathtubs being in place, there is officially plumbing for the pot filler. Whew. Relief.
And in hindsight it makes sense why we didn't see it last week. The pot filler doesn't need a drain, thus it wouldn't need direct plumbing from the floor/foundation. Rather, they ran it from the ceiling and so they could put in essentially after the fact.
Up next: electric and low voltage wiring (this week), followed by a pre-drywall meeting on March 7th
Here's to hoping that progress continues. Only 13 more weeks until we ideally close. Doesn't seem like that much time, but I guess only time will tell!
