After a birthday party on Saturday, we drove the long way home and swung by the new house. We were hopefully that we'd have cement (aka, the foundation would have been poured).
But as we pulled into the neighborhood, we realized we had much more than that.
We had wood. As in the first floor was being framed out, as well as a tiny portion of the second floor.
Wahoo! Talk about pleasant surprise!
Maybe, just maybe, we'll make it into this house sometime in May and before the baby arrives. Fingers crossed, but I don't want to jinx it.
Since driving by the house on Saturday, the builder emailed me and said that barring any weather delays, they hope to have a roof on the house by the end of next week or very early portion of the following week. Of course my heart sunk, because as of yesterday, the forecast called for more ice/sleet/snow this weekend. However, upon checking the weather today, this weekend appears dry. Not only does that bode well for the house, but it bodes well for our gender reveal pictures currently scheduled for this Saturday!
Happy Tuesday!
Oh my gosh! How exciting is this!? :) I just found your blog tonight through another blogger, and am so happy that I did! I am your newest follower! :) I can't wait to read more :)
