As much as it seems time is flying by, for some reason it also seems to be slowing down. It feels like forever ago that we found out we were having another sweet baby girl. Yet, when you look at the calendar, we had our ultrasound exactly 3 weeks ago today. Guess when it comes to time, you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. Either way, baby girl is definitely growing and we are one week closer to meeting her!
Size of Baby: Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about the size of a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I'll be honest, I haven't stepped on the scale. However, I have eaten a lot of sweets this past week. My guess is that the scale has gone up. Not sure I am looking forward to by how much come next week's appointment.
Maternity Clothes: No change from last week. A combo of maternity pants or belly bands on normal pants. All normal shirts and dresses.
Gender: More pink and tu-tus. Another sweet baby GIRL!
Movement: Tons. We've had several rounds of patty-cake this week while at work. And she's been squirming every night for daddy.
Food Cravings: None really. Although I definitely favor sweet foods over anything else. And carbs always seem to do the trick.
What I miss: Nothing that I can't live without. Although the growing belly means the days of sleeping on my stomach are limited. So ask me again in a few weeks...
Sleep: Sleep is great. Based on my fitbit, aside from maybe waking up to use the restroom, i am pretty much out for 8 - 9 hours a night with minimal restless moments. The husband has been leaving for work early and has commented how I sleep right through his (often long) good byes.
Symptoms: Just the bump, which in tighter fitting clothes actually looks like a bump. I have noticed that I do get tired earlier now. But otherwise, good to go!
Best Moment this week: All the hugs and kisses that Reese wants to give her baby sister. Melts my heart.
What I am looking forward to: Lots. Slowly buying things for the nursery despite not having a house. Figuring out a name, which if history is any indication will probably take us the better part of the next 18 weeks. And eventually (currently in no rush) meeting this sweet baby girl.
