I think I say it every Thursday, but seriously. Another week has flown by and we are one week closer to meeting our sweet baby girl!!
Size of Baby: Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — about the size of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you're having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: At my 20 week appointment, I've gained a whooping 0.8 pounds. Since I've been on the road this week I haven't jumped on the scale once, so who knows!
Maternity Clothes: No change from last week. A combo of maternity pants or belly bands on normal pants. All normal shirts and dresses.
Gender: More pink and tu-tus. Another sweet baby GIRL!
Movement: The kicks have started. The first good batch of them occurred on my flight Monday night. Based on the frequency of her kicks, baby girl either hated flying or loved it. Not sure which. She, like her big sister, appears content to have her big daily dance parties just as I lay down to go to bed.
Food Cravings: None really. Maybe sushi. Although I definitely favor sweet foods over anything else.
What I miss: Not much really. But if anything, wine.
Sleep: Sleep has been great. Getting to the point where I can't lie on my stomach, so once I am forced to sleep exclusively on my side this could change, but no complaints for now.
Symptoms: Just the bump, which in tighter fitting clothes actually looks like a bump.
Best Moment this week: Finding out that we are having another sweet baby girl. And spending way too much time trying to design her nursery that will coordinate with, but not match, Reese's big girl room.
What I am looking forward to: Lots. Figuring out the nursery. Slowly buying things for the nursery despite not having a house. And figuring out a name, which if history is any indication will probably take us the better part of the next 19 weeks!
You look great!! I totally understand about the name! We are in week 28 with still no name! Gosh, I don't know why this is so hard for us but it certainly is. I'm sure I'm over thinking it, but I just want it to be perfect. :-)
