Monday's back...

...both little miss and I had a serious case of the Monday's today.  As we were trying to get out the door, she just started crying and saying, "I got to work with mommy."  And although I managed to get out the door with everything in two and make it in time for my mandatory 8:30 AM Monday Morning meeting (talk about beat down), I can't seem to find the motivation to get anything done...

...so while I search for that motivation, here's a recap of our weekend.  Mostly in pictures.  Because i am trying to be better at capturing more pictures.  Now if I could only remember to grab our good cameras and not rely on my iPhone 4S...

After lounging around the house Saturday AM for a bit, Reese and I headed to Southlake Gymnastics Academy for her first Diaper Daredevils class.  Although I had originally wanted to start her in another class, the husband had reservations (rightfully so) about putting her into a "boot camp" like class when she is just over two and having her do a class entirely on her own.  Thus, we figured we'd give this gym a whirl since its super close to our new house and they have a parent and me class until they are 3.  Needless to say, she loved it.  [and I loved it] So much so that she bawled when we had to leave and wouldn't take her leotard off for all of Saturday...now I just have to call Little Gym and officially cancel (sniff, sniff...we are super sad to leave!) and then register her at the new place.

After I finally got the tears to subside, we continued our mommy-daughter Starbucks date tradition.  Only this time, she added a cookie to the treat mix in addition to her cake pop.  Speaking of, there is now a cake pop in the arm rest of my car.  I probably should remove that...

We wrapped up Saturday by meeting our old neighbors for dinner and then catching up on our DVR recordings.

Sunday morning we made it out of the door on time to check on the house progress before church (it is so nice that our new house is five minutes from church).  Afterwards, we had our weekly doughnut in the common area and then let Little Miss play on the indoor playground (despite the 70 degree weather outside!).  Clearly, the slide was  big hit...

Church was followed by a trip to the grocery store, Costco, naptime and then Little Miss's third hair cut.  She did great!  And I love her new cut...just in time for the gender reveal photos in 12 days.  Now if only she'd sit still long enough to let me style her hair with a round brush like she let the Sweet & Sassy people.

We rounded out our weekend with dinner at our friend Michelle & Craig's.  It was so great to see them and the other families, enjoy some quality girl/guy time and just let the kids run around and play.  And I love watching how the kids all play together now.  When we met everyone, only two of the couples had one kid: one was about a year and one was like 3 months old.  Now, all of us have at least one kid (we are actually the only family with only one kid).  The little one year old is now four, the three month old is three and a half, and R is just over two.  It amazes me how just over a year ago Reese really couldn't "play" with the older kids.  And now, she's just one of the group.  I only wish I had gotten a picture of them all hugging good bye...
