Reese Roo - Day 883
With little miss being almost two and a half, I initially had grand plans for our easter eggs. I even pinned the following pictures and was convinced that we could make eggs that looked this spectacular:
Instead, I came to my senses and realized that all that little miss could realistically handle was this:
Don't get me wrong. She did a great job. Especially for a first timer. And I think she enjoyed it. Although she did get (a) entirely too frustrated with how long it took for the dye to actually color the eggs and (b) didn't quite get that you didn't stick you fingers straight into said dye. We ended up with 9 pale-ly colored eggs. And no broken glass (silly mom didn't have any plastic cups big enough to hold the eggs. Mom fail). And no spills. I call that an overall success.
We may try our hand at the glitter and sequences tonight. Note, I say may. I have a fear that this process may end up being messier than the actual dying process.
Now if I could only explain to little miss that only the plastic eggs have candy in them...
...wait, maybe I don't need to. Wonder how long I could keep her busy while she tried to open a hard boiled egg in search of her beloved candy?
