Back at it

Wow.

What a difference a week can make.  After almost 4 weeks of no noticeable progress, this past week was definitely a pleasant surprise.

We drove up to see this:

And walked inside to see this:

The construction manager told us yesterday that bricking and stone work should be done by the end of the week.  And that drywall was complete and that they were working on paint and texture this week.

Next week should be trim work and cabinets.

Exciting stuff.

All of which means we are getting closer to moving in before this baby arrives.  Which definitely makes this momma happy. Although I am still hesitant to do the happy dance as there is (a) still a lot to get done and (b) it is spring here in Texas -- so bad weather is likely inevitable.  But being happy is better than being downright annoyed, frustrated and pissed as I was just a few weeks ago.

Here's to them finishing everything, including our punch list, in the next 6 weeks.  Think its doable?!?!
