I don't even think they made it down to their car before she said, "They come back." So sweet.
So a quick recap of our very busy weekend:
Friday Afternoon
Loli & Pop got in to town early afternoon and it was such a nice day, so everyone headed downtown to Klyde Warren Park. We probably spent an hour and a half just playing: in the water, in the kid's section, chasing birds. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if the cupcake food truck hadn't run out of cupcakes.
Playing in the water fountain outside of Mom's office
Playing in the park with dad
Water fun -- this was the first time she truly enjoyed playing for hours on end!
Rather than wait for the trolley back, we walked. Poor Loli. We totally forgot about her shattered toe. I think the only thing that made it worth it to her was the cupcakes waiting at the end. Clearly little miss enjoyed hers:
Saturday
Saturday morning was full of gymnastics, looking at the house, touring our new town, grabbing lunch and catching up with friends. Followed by a night of Loli and Pop babysitting. On the agenda, Frozen and a 2-hour bath.
The only bad thing? I didn't get any pictures!
Sunday
Although Loli and Pop had hoped to leave early on Sunday we were able to sneak in some extra time with them. We played hookie from church and instead went to breakfast at Le Peep and came home to hang out for a bit. Of course, hanging out at home included watching Frozen on the big TV -- thanks to the Chromecast that I purchased the night before and only then was able to get working.
Needless to say, it was a very busy and very fun weekend and we can't wait until we get to see Loli and Pop again!
