Reese Roo Day 799

Wednesday, January 22, 2014

Um, for starters, how have nearly 800 days already passed since we welcomed Reese Roo into our lives?  Not sure what we did without her.  She truly adds so much joy and laughter (and the occassional head ache) to our lives.  Here are some of my favorite moments from the past week:

Rrrrrr...I am a little pirate

yup, somehow while playing with her toy kitchen she figured out that her little leg fit into the cookie canister.  Instant pirate.  Sadly, though, the pirate fell several times.

Berry fingers

she figured out that her fingers fit within the raspberries (or what she calls strawberries) and insisted on only eating them from her fingers.  This momma won't complain given that not only did Reese laugh at her self the entire time, but ate plenty of raspberries.

Bouncy fun

Grandma and mike got her this for her birthday.  To date, she's shown some interest in it, but nothing like this.  Pure entertainment Sunday morning for the entire family.

Cheese please

Who needs utensils?  Not Reese Roo.  Especially not when you have a jar a Parmesan cheese and your hand.

Ice Cream Thief

After she consumed 4 pieces (okay, so three were corners, but still!) of pizza, Reese Roo insisted on ice cream.  Thus, both mom and her got their own cone.  What this picture doesn't show is that shortly thereafter, she stole mine and proceeded to eat both of them.  Definitely gets her sweet tooth from mommy

Cowboy Reese

They must have learned about cowboys recently at school.  Because although she has insisted on wearing this tupperware on her head during bathtime for the last week or so, last night was the first time that she declared herself "Cowboy Reese."

And the obsession starts early

This kid is obsessed with shoes.  A few weeks ago, when I wasn't feeling too great due to baby # 2, Reese and I engaged in some pretend online shopping.  We didn't buy anything at the time, but she did pick out these adorable shoes.  After looking at them in my cart for a few weeks, I finally ordered them.  And boy, did we have one happy little camper last night.  She would have worn them to bed if we'd let her and she definitely giggled with pure joy the entire time I put them on her this morning.  Better start saving her pennies now.  I see lots of shoes in her future.
