Reese Roo: Day 792

Wednesday, January 15, 2014

This week started out rough -- maybe its terrible twos, or maybe its that her sleep schedule was off (didn't go to bed on Saturday until 9 PM and Sunday until 8:30 PM), but regardless, this is little miss while I cooked dinner on Monday:

The trigger -- asking her if she was allowed to stand on her table.

After the chair slid out from under her (thankfully she wasn't hurt), she quickly said, "I go night-night."  And proceeded to walk herself into her room, found a paci (more on this another day) and put herself to bed.  With one shoe on and one shoe off:

But after a good nights sleep, my cute, sweet girl was back.  She is just so much fun these days.

- She's a parrot.  Definitely watch what you say around this one.  She'll even mimic your tone.

- She says the darnedest things.  I still think my recent favorite is her looking at her daddy (who did just fart) and saying, "Daddy, farted.  Daddy go potty."

- She still has a minor obsession with all things Mickey and Dora.  Based on why we tell her she can't watch them, I think that Mickey and Dora have a sleeping problem.  They just sleep all dang day.

- She loves to clean.  We recently got her a toy broom, hand sweeper and dust pan.  I think she uses it everyday.  And just last night, she insisted on vacuuming the rug, claiming that Wrigley pooped.  If only she weighed more and could actually push the vacuum cleaner...

- Speaking of Wrigley, they really are best friends.  Although, she's not afraid to tell him as it is.

- Lastly, we've realized just how smart she is.  And that even at just 26 (almost 27 months), she's got the brain of an elephant.  As in she doesn't forget anything.  I think we are in trouble with this one...
