Crib Free

Although it is bittersweet as it means that our little baby is growing up, we are officially a crib free house!

Last Saturday, on exactly her second birthday, little miss climbed into her big girl bed and said, "I sleep here."

At first, I wasn't sure that she would.  But I tucked her in, handed her some books and then shut the door so that I could get ready for her party (more on that later).  I figured that she would still be playing when I got down with my shower and I would put her in her crib then.

Nope.  Was I wrong.  This is what I found:

And ever since she has has refused to go in her crib.  As in screamed bloody murder and would attempt to climb out.

Thankfully, we only had one rough night.  The first night.  After hours of trying to get her down to no avail, I slept with her.  Every night since, she's done great.  Sleeping in her bed, head on a pillow, body under the covers.  She even waits for us to come and get her in the morning.

I hope that writing this I don't jinx how easy this transition has been.

Especially since, Sunday night, we officially dismantled the crib...
