6 weeks and counting

Until we are ideally in our house.  And thankfully, per the update call yesterday, there is still progress to report.

However, I'd like to see it with my own two eyes.  We did check on the house last Thursday night and I snapped these pictures.

As for what's happened between last Tuesday and today, all of the walls have been textured and supposedly all of the wood floors have been put in.  My guess is that means installed, but not hand scraped or stained yet.  But maybe I am wrong.  Additionally, I am curious as to where exactly the hardwoods were laid.  During an update call late last week, the sales guy said that they were measuring the stairs for the wood floors and that the wood for the stairs and remainder of the house would be delivered over the weekend. 

Little secret.  We ultimately did not decide to put wood on the stairs.  It was definitely an option that we considered, but in the grand budgeting scheme, was one that we decided we could do without.  It would be a pleasant surprise if they accidentally installed them...maybe as a oops, sorry for your frustrations, gesture?  A girl can dream, right?

Other than that, the house is moving along, but nothing else had been completed.  However, here's what's on task for this week:

- Finish bricking the house last week (apparently they ran out and are waiting on a delivery)

- Installing trim and doors

- Installing cabinents at the end of the week

Needless to say, it sounds like a lot of progress and I can't wait until we can make it out to the house to check it all out.  If the husband wasn't traveling like a mad man this week, I'd pop over one night afterwork.  However, trying to get all of my work done, tend to Little Miss, and give the pup some attention, leaves little time for such field trips.
