Littlest Miss - Week 25

Thursday, March 13, 2014

Eeks, another week has come and gone.  It's going to be June before we know it.  Especially since it seems as though we have plans almost every weekend from here on out.  Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but either way, here's our 25 week post.

Size of BabyHead to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — 1 1/2 pounds — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: At my appointment last week, I was up 4 lbs since finding out we were expecting littlest miss.

Maternity Clothes: No change from last week.  A combo of maternity pants or belly bands on normal pants.  All normal shirts and dresses.  Although some dresses and shirts seem to be getting to short and the belly band isn't working nearly as well...may be time to pick up a few maternity essentials.

Gender: More pink and tu-tus.  Another sweet baby GIRL!

Movement: Tons.  Mostly when I am sitting at my desk or laying down to go to bed.

Food Cravings:  I still don't crave much.  However, I can't help myself with sweets and carbs.

What I miss: Not feeling exhausted.  But otherwise, nothing I can't live without.

Sleep: Sleep is great.  And still cannot get enough especially given the time change.  I just do not do well, pregnant or non-pregnant, trying to wake up when its still dark outside.

Symptoms: bump, and lack of energy.  Still curious as to my blood work and whether I am anemic again.  But otherwise, feeling great although my back is a bit sore this week.

Best Moment this week:  Getting to see Littlest Miss again at our 24 week appointment.  Narrowing down name choices with the husband.  And watching Little Miss truly love on her sissy.

What I am looking forward to: Everything.  But again, the big ones of name, nursery and meeting her.  Although not in a rush for any of them!
