Eeks. 6 weeks. Something about this number makes it seem like she'll be here any minute now. And this momma, is totally not ready. At least not mentally. Physically, I am done being pregnant. Specifically, I am over the non-stop back pain, exhausting and karate of my insides. However, I know in the end its all worth it for a healthy baby girl. Bring on the next 6 or so weeks.
Size of Baby: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (about the size of a cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous aboutpreterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: At my 32 week appointment, I was still only up 8 lbs. Still going to guess that at most I've gained 10 pounds. I did get the comment that (a) I looked skinnier than when I got pregnant and thus (b) looked like a toothpick that had swallowed a grape. Interesting analogy.
Maternity Clothes: Same! Definitely feel limited in my choices, but cannot justify buying anything else at this point. But still a mix of maternity clothes, regular pants with the belly band, and regular shirts. My go to weekend outfits are yoga pants and t's or long maxi dresses. I just hope I don't stretch out the stomach of the maxi dresses as they are non-maternity and I actually like them.
Gender: More pink and tu-tus. Another sweet baby GIRL!
Movement: Back to moving all the time. As in my entire stomach moves. Fingers crossed she's still head down.
Food Cravings: Eh. Nothing really. I swear there are days that I could get by without eating anything. Strange for a pregnant lady.
What I miss: Nothing major. However, if I had to list something, I would say wine, energy and being pain free.
Sleep: Still cannot get enough. I've been averaging 8+ hours of dead-to-the-world sleep, and still wake up exhausted. Thankfully, if I wake up in the middle of the night, I end up going right back to sleep.
Symptoms: Ugh, back pain almost all the time. BH contractions if I sit to long. But otherwise nothing -- wedding rings still on and loose!
Best Moment this week: Receiving our first gift for littlest miss. Thank you Erin, Craig & Baby Holden!
What I am looking forward to: Remember how I said we had a name, well, we've changed it already. Thus, looking forward to finally picking a name. My sprinkle. Moving into the new house hopefully before her arrival. Locating all necessary baby stuff. And of course, meeting her!
Yay for presents!! :) You look fantastic!
