i even skipped Littlest Miss's 33 week update. this is not entirely my fault as I ended up staying home sick that day.
...however, no post for the remaining 10 or so days. Totally my bad. But what can I say. Life has been busy. Growing a human, building a house, raising a toddler and working full time seem to take up ever single waking moment. And then some.
Poor little, blog. But, here is a quick recap as to what we've been up to. Mostly in photo's. Of course.
# 1. Swimming and family time
It's no secret. May might be the best month in Texas. Or at least one of my favorite months. Its warm (aka hot) but not so hot that you want to be locked indoors in A/C. Rather, you want to spend every waking minute outside. And with an apartment pool just steps away, we've spent a lot time there recently. If only the water was slightly warmer. Little Miss wouldn't be done and chattering "I freezing" within 15 minutes
# 2. More family time
With Littlest Miss's arrival quickly approaching (just over 6 weeks), I am quickly realizing how different our family will be. Little Miss will no longer be the one and only -- and although its not a bad change, it's still a change nonetheless. Thus, we have been trying to carve out as much family time -- and even one-on-one family time -- as we can.
# 3. Quilting
If you want to call it that. This seriously may be the easiest type of quilt out there. However, I did make R a quilt for her nursery when she was born, and in my continued effort to not jip Littlest Miss, I bit the bullet and made her a quilt...along with R. Because her old quilt just doesn't match her new room. And doesn't have a minky backing. Needless to say, after two weekends of cutting, sewing and fixing my mistakes the quilts are both almost done. They just need some binding...which maybe I can squeeze in this week?
# 4. Maternity Pics
We had these done last weekend. Here is the sneak peek that we got. And the rest were just as great as evidenced on our photographer's blog. Seriously, if you live in DFW and need a photographer, I highly recommend Taylor.
# 5. Mother's Day
Of course, I didn't get any pictures of yesterday, but thankfully our friends did -- now its just a matter of getting the pics from them! But overall, it was a perfect day -- church, followed by brunch with friends, swimming, bbq, and in bed by 9:30. No complaints from me. The only thing that would have made it better was if Littlest Miss hadn't decided to beat me up all day and/or I could have enjoyed several adult beverages.
Happy Monday...here's to a great week and more predictable blogging!
